Adhesive bras and transparent bras – what are they made of? And when can they be worn? There are three types of adhesive bra designs. The first one is a one piece bra adhesive which goes under the arms, the second one has two separates cups, or undercups, and adhesive is placed on the bottom part of where the breasts will be, and the third one consists of two silicone cups attached by a front hook. There are no straps attached. Usually these self adhesive bra styles will adhere to the skin for 5 to 7 hours. The biggest mistake that women make is to wear this kind of bra on skin that has been oiled or moisturized. Remember: the skin has to be dry.

Of course this kind of bra is very useful if you plan to wear a backless dress or expose your shoulders. This solution is most appropriate for women with relatively small breast sizes. Adhesive bra price ranges vary greatly, for example, and as of July 2010, there were styles for as little as $4 and others for as much as $80.

Transparent bras are much more versatile. They can be made of silicon, lycra, elastane or other materials that stretch or have flexibility. Some of them are strapless, others come with straps. And of course the purpose of wearing them is slightly different... If you wear a transparent bra you will likely want to wear a somewhat see-through or transparent dress or shirt as well, otherwise... what’s the use of wearing a transparent bra? The price ranges of transparent bras vary from $10 to $100. 

From a men's point of view there’s also a third option, if you have gorgeous breasts,  don't wear a bra at all. First, it’s sexier, second the price ranges of no bra are stable all year round: $0. If your breasts are less than perfect for any reason, you can still forget about a bra. After all, we exaggerate a little bit about women’s breasts when in fact, although they’re nice, fingers, ears, knees and even navels are just as important when it comes to looking feminine.
